1. General provisions
1.1 Participation in classes organized by the Ceramics Studio constitutes acceptance of these rules.
1.2 Participants are obliged to follow health and safety rules and to comply with the instructions of the person leading the class.
2. Rules of participation in classes
2.1 Participants should arrive on time. In the event of a late arrival, the workshop end time remains unchanged.
2.2 After finishing work, each participant is obliged to tidy up their workstation within the time allotted for the class.
3. Use of equipment and materials
3.1 Participants should use the studio's equipment and materials in accordance with their intended purpose and the rules set by the person leading the class.
3.2 In the event of damage to equipment or materials due to improper use, the participant or their legal guardian undertakes to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
4. Works and firing
4.1 Every piece must be signed before being left for firing. Unsigned pieces become the property of the studio.
4.2 Participants should take photos of their work for easier identification.
4.3 Before glaze firing, every piece must be checked to ensure the base is clean.
4.4 Participants are responsible for the condition of their work. If the base of a piece is not properly cleaned of glaze or too small a safety margin is left, the participant will be charged 50 PLN for each piece whose glaze runs during firing and damages a shelf.
5. Collection and storage of works
5.1 Due to limited storage space, items not collected within 3 months of being made become the property of the studio.
5.2 Works can be collected after prior contact.
5.3 The waiting time for firing is usually up to 3 weeks; however, the Studio reserves the right to extend this period.
5.4 Before collection or signing up for the next class, a participant may send photos of their work to confirm that it is ready for the next stage of processing or for collection.
6. Registration and payment rules
6.1 When signing up for recurring classes, a non-refundable deposit of 30 PLN applies. If payment is not made within 3 days, the reservation is cancelled.
6.2 The remaining amount may be paid after the class, at the studio, by card or via BLIK to the phone number +48 690 030 620.
6.3 The fee for signing up for one-off, themed classes is 100% of the price and is non-refundable.
6.4 The workshop price includes materials, tools, instructor assistance and, depending on the type of workshop, bisque firing and/or glaze firing.
6.5 For recurring hand-building/glazing workshops, each participant is provided with 1.5 kg of beige clay 254 (G&S); beyond this limit, each additional kilogram costs 10 PLN.
6.6 Other clays stocked in the studio are available at the participant's request. The cost of a basic amount (up to 1.5 kg) is an additional 15 PLN, and each further kilogram costs 15 PLN.
6.7 Firing of participants' work during ceramics workshops is free of charge, provided the pieces are not oversized.
6.8 Oversized pieces, i.e. higher than 15 cm and with a diameter of 20 cm, fired in the second (glaze) firing, are subject to an additional fee, i.e. 20 PLN per piece.
6.9 A piece may be re-fired after glaze corrections for an additional fee of 15 PLN for pieces that are not oversized.
6.10 It is possible to glaze during workshops and fire pieces made outside the studio for an additional fee of 50 PLN/kg, provided that the specification of the clay used matches the firing conditions used in the studio. In the event of a mismatch and damage to the kiln or its equipment, the participant will be charged the cost of repair or replacement.
7. Workshops for organized groups
7.1 The Studio organizes workshops for organized groups both at the studio and outdoors. Details and pricing are arranged individually.
8. Consent to publication of photographs
8.1 Participation in the workshops constitutes automatic consent to the publication of photographs of one's work and photographs featuring the image of participants on the Studio's website, social media, internet forums and in the press, for promotional and advertising purposes.
8.2 If a participant does not consent to the publication of photographs, they must clearly state this before the class begins.
9. Liability
9.1 The Studio is not liable for any harm to the person or property of a participant, nor for health consequences resulting from failure to comply with the instructions of the person leading the class, these rules, or health and safety regulations.
9.2 Any hazards or damaged tools and equipment must be reported immediately to the person leading the class.
10. Changes to the rules
10.1 The Studio reserves the right to amend these rules.
